    Riverside is seeking a passionate Child Advocacy and Trauma Therapist to join our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) team! This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated behavioral health professionals!

     

    The Child Trauma and Advocacy Therapist is a hybrid role between the Child Advocacy Center and Norwood CBHC Component .

    In this vital role, the Child Advocacy and Trauma Therapist will:

    + p rovide immediate response to referrals from the Norfolk Advocates for Children and the District Attorney’s office (NAC) , including triage, referral, assessment, brief treatment, and ongoing treatment

    + c onduct clinical assessment s for referred youth to determine needs and will make referrals or provide direct services as appropriate

    + provide on-going treatment to CBHC Component individuals and will u tilize a trauma-informed approach including evidence-based practices for the treatment of trauma for all NAC and CBHC pe rsons served

    + d evelop and review service plans , as needed, in collaboration with persons served and other members of the CBHC interdisciplinary team

     

    Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours

    Salary Range: Depending on Productivity and Licensure:

    + Unlicensed Clinician: $71,958.50 - $77,263.00/salaried

    + Independent Licensure: $75,141.20 - $80,445.70/salaried

    Required Skills

    + Ability to work as a member of a team and to function independently

    + Ability to represent Riverside in a professional, collaborative manner that conveys sensitivity to clinical and legal considerations inherent to trauma-informed care

    + Computer fluency required, including Microsoft Office and electronic health records

    + Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle

    Required Experience

    + Master's Degree in Social Work , Psychology or Counseling

    + Independent licensure strongly preferred

    + At least 1 year of supervised clinical practice working with youth experiencing trauma utilizing evidence-based practices

    + Integrated care experience strongly preferred ( e.g. at a CBHC)

    + Forensic experience is strongly preferred

    + Certification and/or previous training in one or more evidence-based practices for the treatment of trauma required , such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) , Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) , Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC), Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) , Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI)

    + Must meet all requirements leading to an active professional license in the individual’s professional discipline, including, but not limited to, continuing education, ethical requirements, etc.
