    Seeking a Patient Advocate Representative to join a dedicated team supporting patients — primarily elderly — with billing inquiries, account balances, and payment-related concerns.

     

    This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys meaningful conversations that improve patient experiences.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    + Handle a minimum of 20 patient calls per day, providing clear and compassionate explanations of medical bills and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs).

    + Conduct internal audits (55% of the role) to ensure documentation accuracy and proper call flow.

    + Maintain meticulous notes and call logs to support quality assurance and follow-up.

    + Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure account accuracy.

    + Educate patients on billing workflows and coordinate with A/R for adjustments when needed.

    + Track high-balance or delinquent accounts and proactively reach out to responsible parties.

    + Use multiple systems simultaneously, including EMR platforms, clearinghouses, and Zoom.

    What You Bring:

    + 3–5 years of experience in healthcare patient accounts or revenue cycle management (including 1+ year working with national payors)

    + Strong understanding of medical billing, insurance coordination, and payer remittance reviews

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook (including Scheduling Assistant), and intermediate Excel (filtering, sorting, creating worksheets)

    + Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette

    + Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and independent judgment

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.60 - $25.00/hr.
