Short-Term Network Deployment Project –

Duration:

+ Week 1: Tuesday, Sept 23 – Friday, Sept 26

+ Week 2: Monday, Sept 29 – Thursday, Oct 2

+ Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily (30–60 min lunch)

+ Total: 8 hours/day

• Project Overview

TEKsystems is supporting a short-term network infrastructure deployment at a health care facility. We’re looking for a skilled field technician to assist with installing, patching, and coordinating network components. You’ll work closely with LifePoint Health staff, remote engineers, and third-party vendors to ensure a smooth turn-up of the site’s infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Setup

+ Rack and patch network equipment per layout diagrams

+ Follow color-coded patching standards (Data, WAPs, Voice, ObservSmart, Vendor-specific)

Circuit & Connectivity

+ Activate AT&T DIA circuit

+ Patch network circuits with NOC

+ Extend voice lines with PIAB vendor

Vendor Coordination

+ Patch ports for Building Automation, PA Systems, Access Control, Surveillance

Wireless Infrastructure

+ Install APs per floor plans

+ Conduct wireless survey (if equipped)

Reporting & Communication

+ Daily updates and issue reporting

+ Follow direction from LifePoint PMs and engineers

• Required Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with Cisco, Meraki, Fortigate installs

+ Structured cabling & patching standards

+ Familiarity with AT&T DIA activation

+ Wireless AP install & survey experience

+ Ability to read rack layouts and floor plans

+ Must bring basic tools, PPE, and testing gear

Travel & Expenses

+ Tech is responsible for travel, lodging, and per diem

+ All costs should be factored into the project rate

+ No receipts required

Deliverables

+ Fully installed and patched network components

+ DIA circuit activated

+ APs installed and surveyed (if applicable)

+ Timely reporting and coordination

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
