Experienced Hospital Billing Analyst

Focus: Charge posting, payments, adjustments, void/repost activities

Key Skills: Epic HB build, charge router, GL integration, CCAT/BCB, reconciliation

Preferred: CRO and HB Claims & Remittance certifications, SBO implementation experience

Key Responsibilities:

• System Analysis & Configuration:

o Analyze, build, test, and implement Epic HB workflows and related components.

o Maintain and optimize Charge Router configuration to ensure accurate charge capture and routing.

o Support General Ledger mappings to align with financial reporting needs.

o Configure and support Epic SBO workflows to streamline patient account management and billing processes.

• Reporting & Extracts:

o Develop and maintain custom reports and data extracts to meet business and operational requirements.

o Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver accurate, actionable reporting solutions.

• Workflow Expertise:

o Demonstrate expertise in Epic HB and SBO workflows, including patient accounting, billing, claims, and payment processing.

o Ensure seamless communication workflows across departments and external vendors.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

o Provide end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and implement resolutions to maintain system integrity.

o Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve system issues promptly.

• Collaboration & Communication:

o Work closely with operational teams, finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align system functionality with organizational goals.

o Lead and participate in meetings to discuss system improvements, project updates, and issue resolutions.

Qualifications:

• Epic Hospital Billing Certification (Required).

• 7+ years of experience as an Epic HB Analyst or similar role.

• Direct experience with Charge Router, General Ledger, Reporting/Extracts, and SBO workflows.

• Proficiency in Epic HB workflows, communication workflows, and system integration.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and project management is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
