    Description

    The client is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join their growing IT team. This individual will be supporting a level 4 admin who is moving to the development team soon. The majority of work involves managing Cloud Tenants (Azure and AWS), along with the VDI solution, WAF, and website load balancing. The level 4 is responsible for creating Azure subscriptions, tenant-wide policies, managing conditional access, cloud DR, and some automations.

     

    Top Skills' Details

     

    + Knowledge of cloud concepts (scalability, security, networking) and experience managing and administering Azure and/or AWS at the tenant level.

    + Experience with Windows Server administration, and AD + Group Policy management

    + Skilled in PowerShell scripting to create automations

    + Experience working with load balancers, preferably NetScaler (also known as Citrix ADC).

     

    Preferred certifications: AZ- 104; AZ-305

    Daily breakdown below:

    40% Cloud Infrastructure Management:

    • Provision, configure, monitor, and manage Azure resources and services such as policy implementation, RBAC, and vnet peerings.

    • Handle virtual networking, configure virtual machines, and set up storage solutions.

    • Ensure proper scalability and elasticity of resources as per organization needs.

    • Configure and manage Netscaler load balancer and WAF infrastructure to ensure secure and resilient service delivery.

    • Provide first and second-level support to resolve issues related to Azure resources and services.

    20% Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and manage identity solutions including Azure Active Directory.

    • Configure and monitor role-based access control (RBAC) for resources.

    • Regularly audit and ensure the infrastructure meets industry compliance standards.

    • Monitor the environment for security threats and liaise with the security team for resolutions.

    • Develop alerts on IT solutions for status updates and notification of suspicious behaviors.

    • Assists with network appliances including Citrix Netscalers to provide secure access to Citrix clients and general web site traffic.

    15% Backup, Recovery, Automation, and Continuity Planning:

    • Create and manage backups of windows servers, Recovery solutions, and Continuity Planning with the team.

    • Set up and monitor regular backups for Azure resources.

    • Plan and test disaster recovery solutions.

    • Ensure high availability of mission-critical applications.

    • Automate routine tasks using Azure automation tools, scripts, and Azure DevOps and GitHub.

    15% Cost Management, Optimization, Monitoring, and Reporting

    • Monitor and analyze Azure costs and usage.

    • Recommend and implement cost-saving measures.

    • Collaborate with leadership and finance to provide forecasts and keep costs within budget.

    • Utilize Azure Monitor and other tools to keep an eye on the health, performance, and availability of applications and infrastructure.

    • Produce regular reports on resource utilization, uptime, and other critical metrics.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
