    The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia’s four health agencies serving the state’s growing population of almost 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), and includes Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians. Six enterprise offices support the work of the agency’s four program divisions. DCH employees are based in Atlanta, Cordele and across the state.

     

    The Department of Community Health is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Compliance Specialist 1 with the Medical Assistance Plans Division (MAP). This is a hybrid position that requires in-office and remote. The days and frequency in the office can change at any time during employment based on the business needs of the organization. This is a full-time, unclassified position categorized under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) as non-exempt.

     

    The Compliance Specialist 1 role involves overseeing the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training, guiding participants and families through the PACE eligibility and enrollment process, assisting with Medicaid applications, and verifying required documentation. The position requires maintaining accurate enrollment records in compliance with regulations, serving as the primary point of contact for PACE-related inquiries, and providing professional and courteous customer service. Additional responsibilities include evaluating personal and financial data, conducting onsite compliance visits to PACE centers, demonstrating flexibility and multitasking abilities, and applying knowledge of Age, Blind & Disabled policy and GATEWAY systems. Travel within a 55-mile radius is required.

    High school diploma/GED and four (4) years of job-related experience; or two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Complnc Specialist 2 (RCP061) or position equivalent.
