We are looking for a Stores Coordinator to join our Catalyst team in Vidalia.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.
As a Stores Coordinator, you will manage the technical materials storeroom at our BASF Vidalia, Louisiana facility.
During your day shift as a Stores Coordinator, you will
+ Leverage your skills and experience to manage the technical materials used to maintain, repair, and operate the site’s production equipment.
+ Seek compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promotes a safe working environment for project execution.
+ Adhere to current corporate and plant requirements for equipment/materials specifications and vendor preferences.
+ Maintain SAP data for inventory management of site technical materials.
+ Perform procurement activities for material replenishment, including preparing specifications, issuing requisitions, evaluating quotes, and communication with vendors.
+ Participate and contribute on engineering discipline teams via ad hoc assignments with other Site and North America engineers to review, update, and develop project management procedures, guidelines, standards, and practices.
+ Using your creativity, problem solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail to develop costs savings, and reduction of technical inventory.
+ Providing excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with supervision, operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel.
+ Supporting the site Management of Change process, EHS initiatives, capital projects, and continuous improvement.
If you...
+ 5+ years of experience in technical inventory management in a manufacturing operation or 10+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing operation.
+ Requires understanding of different types of technical materials.
+ Demonstrates competencies of communication, interpersonal skills, initiative, teamwork, and quality orientation/attention to detail.
+ Maintenance or storeroom experience required.
+ Familiarity with technical standards, accounting and procurement practices.
+ Proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
+ User knowledge in SAP materials management functions preferred
+ Work effectively in a team environment.
+ Self-motivated and driven for success.
