THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will perform routine work in the preparation of meals and the sanitation of food preparation and serving areas. Your duties will include preparing food as directed, lifting cases of food and beverage products, and loading and transporting food carts. In this position, you will read and interpret color coding for special diets, assemble resident trays following a menu ticket, and set up the serving line as needed. You can expect to load and operate a dish machine, clean dining rooms and serving areas, and clean and sanitize food preparation equipment. Additionally, you will record use of food and non-food items on inventory sheets and assist in the preparation for special functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
+ Work hours are 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work rotating days and weekends, including holidays.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

+ Previous food service work experience
Legal Requirements:
+ A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
+ This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
+ Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
