    About you and this role

     

    Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aSenior Turnaround CoordinatorinAngelton, TX

     

    The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives within the boundaries of an empowered team to provide continuity and coordination for turnaround maintenance activity across the site using Dow's Global Platinum Turnaround Work Process. The purpose of this job is to optimize turnaround maintenance and project coordination. Turnaround coordination ensures that Dow Work Processes are followed for planning, cost management, scheduling, resource management, safe execution, and final closeout of the turnaround. The Turnaround Coordinator role is instrumental to meet the Business and TES strategy for duration, budget, and operational reliability in order to minimize the long-term cost of ownership of our facilities.

    Responsibilities

    + Work effectively with operations to:

    + Validate job scopes

    + Maintain and develop work inventory, detailed job plans and cost estimates

    + Maintain and develop integrated turnaround schedule and ensure schedule logic is accurate

    + Drive Schedules toward minimum duration

    + Work effectively with site and contract personnel to:

    + Ensure all appropriate resources are committed

    + Ensure pre and post work is clearly defined and completed

    + Execute all aspects of the turnaround

    + Progress all turnaround activities including operations and capital

    + Control add-ons during the turnaround

    + Complete the turnaround within budget

    + Ensure job plans are archived for future use

    + Support Dow Global Turnaround Methodology

    + Serve as a member and lead the Core TA (Turnaround) Team for each scheduled TA and helps to ensure that all aspects of the GTM (Global Turnaround Methodology) process are followed

    + Travel between Houston Hub and regional sites when necessary

    Qualifications

    + Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent required.

    + 5 or more years of relevant experience (e.g., turnaround, pipeline, manufacturing)

    + Current, valid US driver’s license.

    + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Minimum of an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or technical program.

    + 2 or more years of experience in a Turnaround or Maintenance Coordinator (within a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment) role with planning and turnaround execution.

    + DOT experience.

    + Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

    + Previous experience working in SAP and Promethius.

     

    Your Skills

     

    + Turnaround Planning & Execution: Experience in coordinating all phases of turnaround activities—from scope validation to final closeout.

    + Strategic Planning & Decision Making: Ability to align turnaround goals with business strategy, optimize schedules and budgets, and make proactive decisions to minimize long-term facility costs.

    + Team Leadership: Leading cross-functional teams, including contractors and operations personnel, while fostering collaboration and accountability throughout the turnaround lifecycle.

    + Proactive Problem Solving:Identifying and resolving issues before they escalate, especially during high-pressure turnaround execution phases.

    + Coordinating Tasks & Time Management: Managing complex schedules, resources, and job plans to ensure efficient execution and minimal downtime.

    + Digital Fluency (Microsoft Office, SAP): Using tools like Excel, Word, Outlook, SAP, and Promethius for planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and communication.

    + Workplace Safety & Compliance:Ensuring adherence to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards in hazardous and physically demanding environments.

     

    Willing and able to meet physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations

     

    + Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs.

    + Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting

    + Stand 50% of the time.

    + Walk for extended periods of time

    + Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.

    + Work in an area of intense or continuous noise.

    + Work in an area with hazardous materials

    + This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.
