We are looking for a **Loan Specialist** to provide excellent loan operational and administrative support in **El Cajon, CA.**

Essential Functions:

+ Provides administrative and/or operational support within one or more of the following loan areas; processing, presentations, servicing, documentation, notes, etc.

+ May assist with closing and disbursements on a limited basis.

+ May clear identified loan exceptions.

+ Maintains files, documents, notes, etc. as needed.

+ Responsible for verifying completeness of files with all necessary documents and signatures required.

+ Researches and resolves lending inquiries and issues.

+ Work with lenders in resolving discrepancies in various documentation.

+ Ensures all applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures are followed.

+ May prepare and/or track disbursements, loan documents, reports, obtain credit and/or financial information.

+ May perform review of loan and collateral documents and loan packages to ensure the bank's security interest and adherence to established policies and procedures.

+ May update the loan system with pertinent collateral and collateral exception information; tracks and clears exceptions as required.

+ Processes payments, researches and processes rejected payments.

+ May calculate pre-payment penalties and coordinates settle escrow funds when a loan is paid off.

+ Responsible for conducting a complete and accurate payoff transaction.

+ Answer questions and follow up with clients.

+ Produce reports as required.

+ Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ Requires High School diploma or equivalent and some previous banking or loan processing, documentation, servicing or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.

+ Basic knowledge of lending processes, principles, documentation, exceptions, collateral review, payments and loan systems.

+ Knowledge of general banking processes and procedures helpful.

+ Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Must have good organizational and customer service skills.

+ Must be accurate, possess numeric and verbal aptitudes.

+ Good research and audit skills.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete processes and meet deadlines.

+ Working knowledge person computers and various word processing, spreadsheet or related software.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of** **$53,350 - $74,250** **annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience.
