Position Summary

We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Vice President, Assistant Controller to join our Corporate Accounting team. This leader will play a critical role in managing the company’s global accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance functions. The VP, Assistant Controller will partner closely with the Chief Accounting Officer/Corporate Controller and finance leadership to ensure timely, accurate, and transparent financial information while driving process improvements, system enhancements, and accounting best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and oversee global accounting operations, including the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

+ Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks (SOX).

+ Manage consolidation of financial statements and preparation of external financial reports.

+ Oversee technical accounting research and the implementation of new accounting standards.

+ Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other functions to support business objectives and ensure alignment across finance.

+ Lead the development, documentation, and enforcement of accounting policies and procedures.

+ Drive automation, process improvement, and system optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

+ Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure smooth execution of annual audits and quarterly reviews.

+ Provide coaching, leadership, and development opportunities for a high-performing accounting team.

+ Support strategic initiatives, M&A activity, and special projects as assigned by the Controller and CFO.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA required).

Experience:

+ 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

+ Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX/internal controls.

+ Proven success in managing global consolidation, technical accounting, and external reporting.

+ Public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) and public company experience strongly preferred.

+ Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

+ Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) and financial consolidation tools.
