    Summary You will serve as The Fleet Readiness Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP) Enterprise Technical Lead in the Fleet Support Branch (WXMY), in the Maritime Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Division (WXM), of the Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Systems Department (WX) NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Responsibilities You will support all facets of knowledge areas for AN/SLQ-32(V)6/Block 2, AN/SLQ-32 V7/Block 3, scaled Onboard Electronic Attack (SOEA), Long Endurance Electronic Decoy (LEED), AN/SLQ-59 and other ancillary systems. You will oversee and participate in technical events, engineering investigations, test events, and provide guidance to journeymen on overall system and subsystems operation and maintenance. You will interface and make recommendations with Maritime Electronic Warfare personnel from the In-Service Engineering Agency (ISEA), Program Office, ships force, and other government partners. You will display knowledge and or experience with respect to ISEA Onsite Installation Coordinator (OSIC) role, CNO availabilities, Alteration Installation Team (AIT) role/oversight, and support for the installation of above-mentioned systems. You will oversee and provide technical assistance in the performance of MEW teams installing SEWIP Block 2 and 3 upgrades, ensuring systems are installed IAW US Navy specifications, on time and within budget. You will support in service and test requirements. You will develop, review, modify, comment, and make recommendations for selected portions or complete data packages. You will consult with other technicians, project engineers and contractors to exchange information, coordinate on projects and discuss/resolve complex electronics engineering and administrative problems. You will be required to obtain Fiber Optic Certification and Coolant Certification training. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing, developing, and utilizing engineering methods and procedures to assess and repair electronic warfare systems, (AN/SLQ-32(V)6/Block 2, AN/SLQ-32 V7/Block 3, Scaled Onboard Electronic Attack (SOEA)), decoy systems, and other electronic warfare equipment to include its subsystems, components and supporting/ancillary systems.
