We have an immediate opening for an experienced **Materials Handling Equipment Maintenance Manager** based out of our Hub in Erlanger, Kentucky. This individual will be responsible for managing a team of around 50 employees that will focus on responding to urgent requests why’ll ensuring our material handling and automated sort systems, facilities, grounds, and distribution systems are fully operational with a 100 percent “up time” efficiency rating. This position will be associated with a high paced work environment along with a detailed large maintenance management responsibility.
Summary
Develop and deliver all objectives and policies as they relate to the maintenance environment. Develop plans and programs as requested to meet present and anticipated needs of the associated Maintenance duties. Monitor and inspect all associated systems and equipment to ensure that they are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed. Oversee, recommend, and implement system requirements to safeguard the organization as related to maintenance and associated support systems.
Tasks & Accountabilities
+ Manages the day to day operational directives to best support and drive the maintenance and hub support function in support of a night shift operation associated with Material Handling Equipment (MHE), complex electrical controls components in support of an automated heavy freight sortation system, high voltage services with backup generation and switch gear oversite, high voltage electrical distribution systems, heavy ULD and legal for trade (LFT) scale calibrations, inspection, and certification program, management of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage the Inventory Control, Preventive and Corrective Maintenance, Asset Management, Work Order Directives, Building Management System (BMS), HVAC and associated supporting systems, Emergency Fire Protection Systems and controls, Purchasing (GeT), receiving, vendor quotations, invoicing, PO creation and tracker management, budget development and management, direct oversite for all related spare parts, supplies and consumable materials, management of a large-complexed snow removal program associated with aircraft ramp to include the direct management of multiple associated snow plowing and removing equipment that will include the management of a 3 rd party vendor, oversite and management of aircraft underground fuel distribution systems and ramp emergency fuel shut off (EFSO) and their associated controls and the direct oversite of associated 3 rd party vendor, the management of the environmental aspects associated with the maintenance and services of multiple oil water separators (OWS), direct oversite and management of control systems and processes associated with the containment and discharge of aircraft de-ice materials (Glycol) to Airport treatment facility.
+ Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of all equipment associated to the MHE associated systems facilities and grounds.
+ Monitor and inspect all equipment to ensure that material handling and facilities related systems are fully operational and that preventative maintenance schedules are being followed as well as all needed corrected maintenance is being addressed.
+ Evaluate completed work and check for conformance to specifications.
+ Improves efficiency of all materials and facilities and grounds operations related systems.
+ Initiate internal audit program as it relates to, the preventive maintenance program and document as required.
+ Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developmental growth of all subordinate staff. Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes. .
Skills & Qualifications
+ An advanced understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
+ Knows and effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures relative to quality and productivity improvements, training, budgeting and cost control, and progressive techniques in area of specialization.
+ Generally understands all managerial approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action.
+ Requires HS Diploma, BS/BA preferred or equivalent technical certifications.
+ Requires a minimum of 5 years of industrial / automated Material Handling Maintenance experience, and is recommended to have verifiable leadership experience in a high paced maintenance environment.
+ Extensive safety and environmental knowledge in an industrial / automated environment. To include all required PPE and Associated Regulated Training that must include extensive experience with lockout-tagout and ARC Flash Safety.
+ Prior experience with inventory control systems and processes, purchasing, receiving, accounts payable, is a plus.
+ MUST be proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
+ Must have exceptional organizational skills with multiple examples of 5s practices.
+ Must have prior hands-on experience operating and managing systems associated with:
+ Material Handling Equipment associated with Automated Sort Systems
+ High Voltage Electrical Distribution Systems.
+ HMI and GDU interface Systems
+ CMMS development and implementation to include work order creation to closure. This also includes the daily process control associated with inventory control practices and cycle count directives.
+ Generated Power Systems and Switch Gear Operations.
+ Building Safety (egress, electrical code, structural command, etc…)
Work Environment:
This position will work in all climates indoors and outdoors. To adequately meet the demands and performance standards for this role, candidates must have the ability to: lift up to 75lbs, climb ladders, and stand/walk for great durations and distances, work extended hours in support of mission critical issues, ability to wear and function whilst wearing various PPE as needed, accessing elevated structures..
