    Job Description

Do you thrive on organization, love solving problems, and want to play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare? We’re looking for a **Residency Program Coordinator** —a detail-oriented, resourceful professional who can juggle calendars, accreditation policies, and people with equal skill. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, but also values being part of a collaborative, mission-driven team.

As the behind-the-scenes powerhouse of our residency and fellowship programs, you’ll be the go-to person for residents, faculty, and leadership. From managing day-to-day operations to supporting long-range planning, recruitment, and program compliance, you’ll make sure everything runs smoothly so trainees and physicians can focus on what matters most—patient care and education.

    What You’ll Do

+ Partner with the Program Director and leadership team to keep program operations, workflow, and budgets on track.

+ Apply ACGME and hospital policies to ensure compliance (you’ll be our in-house policy expert).

+ Support residents and fellows throughout their training, serving as a trusted resource and liaison with hospital administration.

+ Manage resident recruitment, orientation, affiliation agreements, and external rotations.

+ Keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—databases, evaluations, licensing, contracts, credentialing, and exams.

+ Plan and execute major events like orientation, graduation, recruitment season, and faculty meetings.

+ Create program communications—from websites and brochures to event invitations and recruitment materials.

+ Lead the ERAS and NRMP processes during recruitment and Match season.

+ Track and report on trainee and faculty data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

+ Help prepare for ACGME reviews, site visits, and other accreditation milestones.

+ Promote a culture of quality, safety, and inclusion in everything you do.

    What You Bring (Minimum Requirements)

+ Associate’s degree in health sciences, business, public administration, education, or a related field.

+ 2–5 years of experience in a high-level administrative role.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong organizational skills—you’re the type who finds joy in color-coded spreadsheets.

+ Discretion and professionalism with sensitive information.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

+ Confidence in making independent decisions, with the judgment to escalate when needed.

Working at University Health is about making a difference. It's providing the best care to every patient every day.

University Health (UH), is committed to being a leader in providing a culturally inclusive workplace for our employees. UH is an equal opportunity employer. We value and celebrate our differences. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless, but not limited to race, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation), national origin, ancestry, language, age, citizenship, genetic information, marital status, socioeconomic status, literacy, disability, mobility, abilities, veteran status and any other category protected by applicable law.
