50% Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose

Support the company’s maintenance program by focusing on plant equipment and building maintenance in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Essential Functions

+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with plant equipment (e.g., mechanical drive systems, HVAC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems)

+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with plant equipment (e.g., wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC/DC motor drives)

+ Perform preventive maintenance on all plant equipment

+ Perform building maintenance and repairs (e.g., air conditioning, lights, forklifts)

+ Perform small repairs on equipment to prevent long-term downtime until permanent repairs can be completed

+ Report food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel

+ Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures

+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned

50% Parts Planner

Job Purpose

Manage, order, and process indirect purchase orders for equipment spare parts, operational supplies, and other goods and services needed for daily plant operations. Organize and manage physical inventory and inventory system.

Essential Functions

+ Maintain maintenance supplies by ordering, tracking, and placing purchase orders and properly coding to correct GL codes

+ Investigate alternative suppliers for better quality and pricing on supplies, parts, and equipment

+ Work with current and prospective vendors to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics, and delivery terms

+ Notify Maintenance Manager regarding overdue materials and parts with the potential to impact repair time frames

+ Inspect all tools and parts received, verify part numbers, and check discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts

+ Record and maintain inventory of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed in the CMMS

+ Perform recordkeeping, filing, cycle counting, and year-end inventory audits

+ Coordinate stocking of spare parts in parts room

+ Oversee the issue and return of parts and materials

+ Set up and organize parts room for most efficient storage and distribution

+ Perform housekeeping as needed to ensure parts room is well-maintained

+ Comply with all food safety requirements, training, policies, and procedures

+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)

+ Strong troubleshooting skills

+ Experience or willingness to learn pneumatics, and hydraulics

+ Willing to learn and obtain boilers license and electrical maintenance license.

+ Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices

+ Well-rounded mechanical skills and experience

+ Written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong organization Skills

+ Ability to prioritize

+ Ability to work overtime as needed

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Technical degree in a maintenance related field, MN Special Engineer Boiler License or higher, or refrigeration experience preferred

+ $2,000 Sign-On Bonus after 90 days.

California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Washington and New York Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $23.85 to $26.00 per hour. Pay is based upon several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. Rise Baking Company complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
