The Leonardo DRS Land Systems business is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 5 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

+ Supervise employees involved in the physical movement of inbound and outbound shipments, including shipments to both domestic and international customers, and distribution centers and branches within the organization

+ Schedule and coordinate the routing of incoming and outgoing shipments

+ May negotiate rates, delivery terms, freight rates, and classifications with carriers; analyze service performance

+ Develop and implement new procedures and methods to reduce costs

+ Resolve claims for loss or damage

+ Make recommendations on staffing, performance appraisals, training and development of subordinates, promotions, salary increases, terminations, disciplinary actions, etc

+ Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

Qualifications

+ Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

+ Must have the ability to present information and respond to questions from management

+ Demonstrated management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”

+ Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
