TAK Broadband is a leading end-to-end U.S. fiber broadband network construction contractor operating in 42 states. We are seeking an experienced **Director of Operations** to manage the Buried Service Wire (BSW) operations. This role provides strategic leadership and oversight of the BSW program across all active markets, ensuring alignment with company goals, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Director will drive cross-functional collaboration, optimize processes for scalability, and lead teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective results while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

The Role

+ Provide overall leadership and oversight of the BSW program across all active markets, ensuring program profitability and adherence to performance targets (e.g., margins, cycle times)

+ Manage daily operations, ensuring crews and business partners meet production, safety, quality standards, and completion goals (weekly/monthly completion targets)

+ Coordinate directly with client leadership on scheduling, escalations, and program performance, driving down escalations through proactive communication and timely resolution

+ Drive accountability with internal teams and subcontractors/business partners for productivity, timeliness, cost control, and achievement of on-time completion (OTC) targets

+ Oversee dispatch, work allocation, and resource planning to maximize efficiency while meeting completion and cycle-time KPIs

+ Partner with finance and billing teams to ensure accurate coding, timely invoicing, reduction of unbilled work, and control of GA Past Due activity

+ Ensure all field activities comply with compliance and safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in alignment with company and customer expectations

+ Lead process improvement initiatives, including API integration, dispatch optimization, and program standardization, with measurable outcomes in efficiency and reduced escalations

+ Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of field leadership and business partners to build teams that consistently achieve KPI goals

+ Act as primary escalation point for operational challenges within the client program, ensuring resolution aligns with OTC and quality KPIs

+ Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of accountability and excellence, measured through improved margins and reduced past-due activity

+ Perform additional duties as assigned by senior executive leadership, with performance outcomes tied to operational, financial, and customer satisfaction metrics

Requirements

+ 5-10 years of leadership experience in telecommunications, construction operations, or a related field

+ Strong background in buried service wire or outside plant construction preferred

+ Relevant experience in Operations Management, Business, Construction Management, or related field required

+ Relevant experience in telecommunications, construction operations, or a comparable industry is highly valued

+ Proven ability to lead large, distributed teams and manage business partner performance

+ Financial acumen with experience in budgets, billing, and margin management

+ Results-driven leader with a track record of operational improvement

+ Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with ability to build strong customer relationships

+ Proficiency in operations management systems and standard business software, Google Suite, MS Office

+ Thorough knowledge of operational best practices, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance is essential

+ Demonstrated ability to apply practical skills and experience to fulfill the core responsibilities of the role

+ Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
