Job Details:
The Administrator, OPD is responsible to plan, direct, manage and oversee the activities and operations of Behavioral Health Services at Good Samaritan Hospital. This includes Frawley Out-Patient and satellite clinics, Integration services, EAP services, crisis service, behavioral health services that are provided on the medical floors and the Emergency Room.
Responsibilities:
• Assumes full management responsibility for all Dept. services and activities, implements process improvements related to cost, quality and service.
• Manage the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for each assigned service line.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures and identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Interviews, motivates, and evaluates personnel.
• Provides/coordinates staff training, conducts performance evaluations and implements disciplinary procedures when necessary.
• Represents Behavioral Health Department and team to the County and other related community services.
• Ensures that written reports, statistics, data reporting to both Office of Mental Health and Office of Substance Abuse Services are reported accurately and timely.
• Knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards, OMH, OASAS and Joint Commission.
• Coordinate with legal department to oversee EAP contracts and ensure that they are up to date.
• Daily supervision of therapists, behavioral health screeners, and students.
• Conducts chart reviews for the Dept. of Psychiatry to ensure timeliness of Psychiatric evaluations and that benchmarks set are met.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multi-disciplinary Behavioral Health Program. Experience in Addiction and Mental Health Services.
Education: Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work from an accredited school required.
Licenses / Certifications: LMHC or LCSW required.
Other: Must have managerial experience; excellent communication/interpersonal skills and knowledge of Evidenced-based Practice Modalities.
