The College of Education has an outstanding opportunity for a Creative Director to join their team.
The Creative Director role leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive impact dissemination strategy designed to amplify the work of the Inclusionary Practices Technical Assistance Network that is designed to provide high-quality guidance, technical assistance (TA), and professional development resources to districts to disrupt segregated systems of disproportionality and reduce exclusionary practices in Washington schools. This will result in improved student outcomes, with an additional focus on the outcomes and the inclusion of students with disabilities having Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and for Black students with disabilities. With a deep commitment to inclusionary practices in P-12 education, the Creative Director ensures all creative outputs are strategic, compelling and aligned with organizational values. This position reports to the PI and oversees and directs work of freelancers, creative staff, project staff, and serves a key leadership role in the project. This will be a temporary part-time position at 50% FTE.

Key Responsibilities
Deliverables & Leadership 50%
+ Build a team of staff and/or consulting partners/freelancers who are skilled creatives spanning editing, graphic design, web design, instructional design, multimedia storytelling, and multimedia producing as well as P-12 educational and inclusionary practices expertise.
+ Partner with team members for outreach, engagement, and collaboration with network advisors, districts, network providers, design team, disability communities, families, students, schools and districts, evaluator, and other partners to collect information from the network community and analyze and summarize for product development and develop and implement a plan to scale and spread coordinated and collaborative efforts across all partners and into the public domain to support promotion and public awareness of impact of inclusionary practices/IPTN.
+ Guide the translation of complex educational strategies and solutions into accessible, engaging, creative public-facing products.
+ Develop and manage the production of integrated professional learning multimedia materials (e.g., case studies, online modules, video libraries, interactive toolkits) that promote inclusive instructional practices with a focus on safe, supporting learning environments, learning standards, and recruitment and retention for a wide range of audiences.
+ Develop and maintain an impact dissemination library - a centralized, organized platform housing all public-facing creative assets that promote the impact of network activities.
+ Collaborate closely with project leadership to prioritize creative resources, manage timelines, align deliverables, with organizational strategy.
+ Prepare and submit noteworthy and new creative works for University distribution channels, industry recognition, and relevant educational conferences.
Creative Direction, Brand Management 30%
+ Provide creative direction of print, digital, and broadcast dissemination efforts and provide art direction and oversight for internal and external creative resources.
+ Establish and ensure consistent brand voice and identity standards for all public-facing multi-media products.
+ Model organizational values in creative work with an emphasis on representation, inclusion and access.
+ Deliver strategic and scalable solutions designed to help the Haring Center and partners disseminate impactful educational efforts.
+ Champion accessibility and inclusion in all creative outputs, ensuring Section 508 compliance standards.
Project Management 20%
+ Own the end-to-end creative production process ensuring the timely completion of deliverables within budget and on brand.
+ Create and maintain detailed project timelines, milestones and production schedules.
+ Monitor and track project budget including all direct costs.
+ Work closely with consulting partners/freelancers/vendors to create a scope of work, monitor deliverables, provide timely feedback, and ensure alignment with project goals.

The salary information provided below is for a full-time position and will be prorated for part-time.
**_Minimum Qualifications_** _ _
+ A bachelor's degree in communications, business, marketing, design or a related field, to include a minimum of five years of industry experience in filmmaking (video and livestream) and marketing, design or brand management, two of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
_Additional Qualifications_
+ Demonstrated experience leading strategic and creative outcomes within complex organizations, institutions and/or brands including Washington state agencies.
+ Knowledge of P-12 educational frameworks across general and special education.
+ Demonstrated state and national multi-media accomplishments and awards
+ Familiarity with the Washington state education inclusionary practices efforts
+ Strong portfolio demonstrating creative leadership, brand stewardship, and multimedia storytelling in an education related context.
Preferred Qualifications
+ A master's degree in communications, business, marketing, design or a related field, to include a minimum of ten years of industry experience in filmmaking (video and livestream) and marketing, design or brand management, two of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
Compensation, Benefits and Position Details
Pay Range Minimum:
$96,000.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$115,920.00 annual
