    Summary You will serve as a Supervisor Police Officer in the Provost Marshal Office/Marine corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE. Responsibilities You will assist in directing and providing technical, operational and administrative supervision as well as making major decision and taking actions that have a direct and substantial effect on PMO or MCPD communities. You will assist in planning, managing, directing and evaluating law enforcement and security operations; initiate, establish and plan mission priorities. You will plan and implement current and long-range operations based on workload trends and projected requirements; develop and implement Force Protection Condition (FPCON) plans, procedures, processes and measures. You will direct the day-to-day technical and administrative work of a group of police officers and support staff (e.g., military, civilian). You will assist in the managing of required training, sustainment training and training on new policies and laws; perform periodic and special statistical, financial and productivity analysis and evaluations on short and long range requirements. You will direct personnel during a catastrophic event following Federal emergency response plans to control the situation. You will respond to problems or questions involving the implementation of law enforcement and security guidelines. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-10) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: serving as the Assistant Operations Officer you will be responsible for the planning, managing, evaluating, and initiating the law enforcement and security operations and mission priorities for a variety of law enforcement areas (e.g. traffic, desk, patrol, military and civilian working dog, Special Reaction Team (SRT), and investigations); prepare reports for criminal and civil security hazards; testifies in court (e.g. civilian and military); commands critical incidents; and manages the initial and sustainment training. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Conditions of Employment Continued: Must satisfactorily pass the Police Applicant Suitability Review (PASR). Must successfully complete the designated USMC Basic Police Officers Course (BPOC) and meet all certification requirements, to include weapons certifications, CPR, AED, DoD and Joint Training Regulations. Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101. Employee is required to wear an assigned uniform and display official designated items or accessories to include additional required equipment. The employee must follow and adhere to applicable grooming standards for the installation. May be required to respond to off base circumstances as directed by the installation commander, in accordance with USMC and DoD policy. As first responders to chemical/biological attacks must be able to train and wear personal protective equipment to include a mask, suit, boots and gloves. If incumbent is conducting law enforcement operations in navigable waters, incumbent must attend the Inland Boat Operating Training Program at FLETC or a similar course. This position requires rotating shift work. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Education No substitution of education or training may be made for the required specialized experience at the GS-06 level or above.
