    Job Overview

     

    Specialized Recruiting Group is now seeking a skilled **Maintenance Supervisor** to join our client’s team in Dubuque. This role is vital to ensuring facility operations run efficiently, safely, and reliably. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, lead a team of technicians, and coordinate preventive maintenance programs that minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

     

    The ideal candidate will be hands-on, technically skilled, and an effective leader with proven experience in industrial maintenance and team management.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Supervise and lead the maintenance team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.

    + Oversee facility upkeep, including repairs, installations, and equipment troubleshooting.

    + Manage preventive maintenance schedules to ensure optimal machine and facility performance.

    + Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, inspections, and service agreements.

    + Monitor safety practices, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

    + Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reporting for equipment and facility operations.

    + Provide hands-on support when needed to quickly resolve technical issues.

    + Collaborate with production and leadership teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

    Qualifications

    + Education: Technical degree or relevant certification preferred; equivalent experience considered.

    + Experience: Prior supervisory experience in maintenance or manufacturing required.

    + Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting abilities.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

    + Effective communication, leadership, and multitasking skills.

    + Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred but not required); occasional travel may be necessary.

    + Knowledge of metal fabrication manufacturing and experience with manufacturing equipment preferred.

    + Proficiency in problem-solving and applying technical knowledge under pressure.

    + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

    + Ability to lead a team while also being hands-on with equipment and facility needs.

    + High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.
