About IPSD:
Caterpillar’s **Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD)** designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Job Summary:
As the **Maintenance Manager** , you will lead a team of maintenance professionals to ensure optimal equipment reliability, uptime, and safety across a wide range of systems and technologies. This includes overseeing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, managing spare parts inventory, coordinating with production and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
You will be accountable for the maintenance and performance of Fanuc robotic systems, automated modes of conveyance, and a variety of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Your responsibilities will also include managing the upkeep and troubleshooting of industrial pumps, heat exchangers, and other critical infrastructure components.
Success in this role requires strong coordination with cross-functional support teams, including production, engineering, quality, and safety, to ensure alignment on equipment performance, downtime mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will also lead root cause analysis and corrective actions in response to equipment failures and customer concerns, while fostering a culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
What You Will Do:
+ Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance across all production equipment and facility systems.
+ Implement and refine preventive and predictive maintenance schedules using CMMS to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
+ Coach, mentor, and train maintenance technicians and contractors on technical skills, safety protocols, and TPM principles.
+ Create and manage detailed work plans, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
+ Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and contracted services.
+ Track and manage critical spare parts inventory to ensure availability and minimize production disruptions.
+ Conduct regular inspections and performance assessments of machinery and infrastructure.
+ Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
+ Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to support new equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

**Manufacturing Preventive Maintenance:** Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and its functioning; ability to conduct Preventive Maintenance at scheduled intervals to determine equipment's corrective actions and avoid untimely breakdowns.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Coordinates resources for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of plant equipment.
• Designs procedures for preventive measures to help improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Diagnoses problems and malfunctions in a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.
• Oversees that safety and health standards adhere to the preventive maintenance tasks.
• Trains the subordinates as well as equipment operators on how to prolong the life span of manufacturing equipment.
• Updates preventive maintenance systems for all schedules of manufacturing equipment.
**Total Productive Maintenance (TPM):** Knowledge of total productive maintenance principles, methods, and processes; ability to maximize machinery effectiveness through active involvement of all supporting departments.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Advises operators to perform routine maintenance tasks on their respective equipment.
• Analyzes plant floor operations; analyzes trends and implements corrective actions as necessary.
• Educates others on quality maintenance strategies, techniques, and best practices.
• Implements a feedback system for optimizing the maintenance intervals.
• Manages and organizes regular training for machine operators, manufacturing staff, management, and administrators.
• Supervises others during the implementation of TPM strategies and maintenance processes within the organization.
**Plant Operation and Maintenance:** Knowledge of plant operation principles, methods and processes; ability to handle day-to-day and strategic issues, operational requirements and management of a manufacturing facility.
Level Extensive Experience:
• Participates in the evaluation and selection of plant operations and maintenance systems.
• Participates in planning for automating operations and retooling of an assembly line.
• Consults on operations routing and back-up capabilities.
• Analyzes plant floor operations; evaluates trends and implements corrective actions as necessary.
• Works with complex issues in all major production runs and their criticalities for the manufacturing organization.
• Advises others on key aspects of effective and efficient operation and workload optimization.
Additional Information:
+ This position is located in Seguin, TX and requires a 5-day-a-week onsite schedule.
+ Onsite Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm
+ Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00
