Job Overview
Fairview is looking for a Patient Access Services Representative to join out team. This is a remote position that is approved for 80 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible.
This position is responsible for completing the financial clearance process within Patient Access and creating the first impression of Fairview’s services to patients and families and other external customers.
Job Expectations:
+ The Patient Access Services (PAS) Representative must be able to articulate information in a manner that patients, guarantors and family members understand and so they know what to expect and have an understanding of their financial responsibilities.
+ The PAS Representative will be responsible for completing the pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, as well as interviewing patients and guarantors to obtain insurance information and verifying eligibility.
+ The PAS representative will also work with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments, and insurance payors.
Required Qualifications
+ 1 year customer service experience and applicable computer knowledge and skills.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Post-Secondary education
+ experience in a clinical setting with registration experience
+ Previous Epic experience
