Seasonal Shipping Clerk

**Schedule:** Friday - Sunday 7AM - 7:30PM

What will you do?

A day in the life of a Shipping Clerk at VF looks a little like this.

The responsibility of this position is to assist the Production Supervisors with the timely shipping of all orders. This position will be responsible for providing effective support to all other facility personnel. This role has focus on the office but still will be required to split time on the production floor at the needs of the business and shift leadership.

+ _Working independently to own the end to forecasting, processing, monitoring and expedition of orders to ship out within a timely manner for both individually assigned and department owned accounts._

+ _Generate reports, provide help desk support for customers via phone or email, and provide production floor expediting/investigation support. Process orders strictly following the packing S.O.P ensuring that we meet or exceed the customer expectations._

+ _Help with the processing of daily duties and office work that is shared throughout the team._

+ _Forecast, monitor, route and update leadership on status of all order progress for assigned accounts to department leadership._

+ _Generate and file shipping documents, physically and digitally._

+ _Route orders and coordinate pick up schedule with carriers, for assigned and departmental owned accounts._

+ _Communicate customer shipping requirements to the leadership and operations team._

+ _Print carrier labels and apply labels to cartons in the warehouse as needed_

+ _Search shipping dock for missing cartons_

+ _Cross training in picking and packing would be a plus_

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 1 year of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

+ _Must have working knowledge of Microsoft office suite to include Excel.  Training for reports will be provided on warehouse control systems._

+ _Read, take action and respond to customer service requests_

+ _Answer phones, respond to queries and requests_

+ _Strong English written and verbal skills is a must_

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

+ _Prior shipping experience_

Physical Demands:

+ _Stand and/or walk during shift between 8 to 12 hours _

+ _Lift, push, pull and move boxes up to 40 pounds _

+ _Bend, squat, twist, reach above the head, kneel, crouch and/or stretch _

+ _Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands, wrists and feet coordination for operation of Order Picker style Powered Industrial Truck _

+ _Noise level varies and can be loud  _

$17.00 USD - $21.25 USD per hour
