    BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an Activities Therapist to join our outstanding and compassionate team in **Morton Plant!**

     

    + **Facility:** Morton Plant

    + **Location:** Clearwater

    + **Status:** Full-Time, Exempt: No

    + **Shift Hours:** 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    + **Weekend Work:** None

    + **On Call:** No

    The Activities Therapist is responsible for:

    + The Activities Therapist evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients and residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of recreational therapy.

    + Conducts facility group and individual activities and recreational therapy interventions and all other duties as assigned.

    + Provides appropriate therapeutic and educational interventions/services as it relates to Activities Therapy.

    + Provides assessment, monitoring, planning, and advocacy for adults and children experiencing acute mental health and/or substance abuse issues in an acute care inpatient setting as it relates to Activities Therapy. Provides support as an active member of the treatment team.

    + Conduct psychotherapeutic groups.

    Required Education:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy or related field

    Experience:

    + 1 year experience in Behavioral Health.
