This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking a strong candidate for the role of **Industrial Engineering Supervisor** . This role will be based at our Racine, WI location.

The Industrial Engineering Supervisor (IE Sup) will lead the industrial engineer(s) assigned to key projects that support the organizational objectives, change management (ECR/ECN), process & equipment development, line optimization, improve material flow, and define Engineering standards such as labor standards, technical documentations, and layouts. Additionally, the Industrial Engineering Supervisor oversees Cost Savings objectives through various platforms (WCM, OEE Sustaining, etc.), and works to ensure there is a deliberate focus on execution and adherence to cost-saving goals and WCM objectives.

This role will also collaborate closely with the Product Engineering Team, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering manager, and Production Scheduling to ensure new product implementation is successful, and also act as the lead in managing the ECR/ECN process, representing Manufacturing and process readiness.

Your responsibilities will include

+ Serve as a Lead for change management (ECN/ECR) for manufacturing and coordinate activities with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials, Planning, and other functions as required, to achieve successful pilot runs and new production.Support (and lead) cost savings projects initiated through continuous improvement (WCM) efforts

+ Mentor, train, and develop direct reports to provide Engineering support for IE-specific projects with high quality and on-time completion

+ Lead and efforts in OEE for the designated area as the Engineering leader, engaging in daily engineering debriefs and reviews

+ Direct work assignments for Engineers, and allocate resources as required to balance support across projects

+ Develop guidance for documentation, process definition & verifications (engineering audits).

+ Set up Engineering standards and procedures, ensuring consistency and optimization in engineering and manufacturing processes

+ Support the NPI process, emphasizing design for optimization and reducing waste by improving safety, material flow, space utilization, quality, and visual controls

+ Support and ensure cost standards (routings) are accurate and updated as required with Finance

Minimum requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ 2+ years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

+ 1+ years of experience supervising or leading a team

Preferred skills and experiences

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics

+ Experience in vertically integrated manufacturing with moderate to high production volumes

+ Good understanding and operational skills of personal computers and associated equipment.

+ Good communicator with strong written and articulation skills

+ Project management and team-building skills.

+ Three to five years of experience in supervision or management

+ Working knowledge of Automation Systems
