American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is dedicated to the success of businesses big and small with the vision to be essential to our customers’ businesses every day. Within GCS, the Corporate Card products team designs and operates the corporate-liability Card products that are offered to medium, large and global businesses.
The Director of Corporate Cashback Card Product Management will lead end-to-end product strategy and execution for the Corporate Cashback Cards, and the continued elevation of the visibility of these products and their role in the portfolio. Grounded in the needs of the varied design personas that use Corporate Cards – which include business owners, procurement personnel, administrators, and individual employees – the Director will set the value prop and forward-looking vision for cashback Cards, and direct all workstreams related to P&L analysis, benefit design, new feature launches, and measurement. This leader will work in close partnership with a peer Director of Corporate Membership Rewards Card Product Management, ensuring a cohesive product line and efficiency in managing shared benefits and features. As these portfolios continue to evolve and differentiate, the Director of Corporate Cashback will expand this product offering into a more visible part of the product line, using design levers such as form factor, digital experience, and cashback value.
The Director of Corporate Cashback Card Products will:
+ Lead a high-performing team of colleagues
+ Own the strategic vision and priorities for Corporate Cashback Cards, including card design, benefits, earn rate, redemption, Card management digital experience, servicing, and more
+ Work in close partnership with other leaders in Card Product, as well as New Product Development, Finance, Pricing, Marketing, and Field
+ Serve as the point person and primary liaison to Pricing, ensuring clarity of strategy between cashback value embedded on Cards and the incentive value available via Pricing contracts
+ As Card portfolio refreshes are required, conduct client and prospect research, survey the competitive landscape, and gather any inputs necessary to identify and formalize value proposition updates
+ Use visual communications present the strategic/business rationale for Card updates, and bring others along to build momentum and alignment
+ Submit new initiatives related to Corporate Cashback Cards for investment planning, working with New Product Development to capture feature requirements, Finance on Cost Benefit Analysis, and leading submission
+ Serve as the Product point person for Servicing and Field questions Cashback Cards, and own issue resolution, ops governance, and risk management **Qualifications:**
+ Proven people leader with ability to crystallize goals for direct reports, and inspire teamwork
+ Flexible, creative problem-solver who puts structure around complex issues; able to take new ideas from strategy to a concrete proposal, with cogent evidence that builds alignment and momentum behind an argument; top notch visual communication and storytelling to ensure clear communication
+ Customer-first mentality with previous experience in Card or financial product management
+ P&L mastery and financial acumen – an eye for performance trends in the product portfolio, and practices that will boost portfolio health
+ Keeps an active pulse-check on the competitive landscape to identify what draws customers to certain elements of the value prop, and optimize for these through marketing and product design
+ Facility for stakeholder management; ability to communicate solutions, new ideas, or recommended fixes to varied group of stakeholders and gain buy-in at all levels of seniority
+ Proactive and positive attitude, dedication to building team culture of learning, growth, and development
Qualifications
Salary Range: $145,000.00 to $230,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
