    Learning Institute Coordinator -Registered Nurse / RN - (Texas Two-step Instructor)

     

    Shift: Full Time, Days (Monday - Friday)

    Job Summary and Qualifications

     

    Under the supervision of the Learning Institute Manager, the Site Coordinator is a nurse with expertise as a clinician, educator, and leader. The Site Coordinator is a liaison between an academic institution (college or university) and HCA HealthCare, with the primary goal of recruitment, professional development advocacy, and providing oversight and instruction for nursing students’ clinical practice and didactic classroom.

    General Responsibilities:

    + Follows HCA Ethics and Compliance policies

    + Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the organization's mission and goals

    + Supports hospital and departmental Performance Improvement Goals

    + Collaborates on developing, implementing, and evaluating retention activities across the division

    + Participates in assessing the student experience and developing tools and resources to optimize the overall student experience

    + Partners with the clinical education and professional practice team leaders on disseminating student feedback and the implementation of student-focused tactics

    + Actively participates in academic partnership advisory board council meetings as appropriate

    + Partners with recruitment and talent acquisition to support student recruitment and facilitate employee progression within the learning institute processes

    + Assists in developing and attaining organizational goals; enhances the organization's efficiency and cost-effectiveness

    + Coordinates the Learning Institute functions, including the student application process and didactic and clinical schedules

    + Uses clinical expertise to role model application of clinical practice standards for nursing students

    + Available to guide, mentor, and advise students regarding their progression through the onboarding process and the nursing program

    + Evaluate and provide feedback on concept maps; grade tests and advise/coach regarding learning deficiencies

    What qualifications you will need:

    + (RN) Registered Nurse

    + Bachelors degree in Nursing required; Masters Degree in Clinical Field, Education or Healthcare Administration preferred

    + 5 years minimum of experience in hospital-based clinical specialty; minimum of 1-year formal academic or hospital education experience preferred

    + Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
