Performs a variety of office assistant tasks in support of administrative, program, or technical operations. Functions include a diversity of records, reports, and filing activities, public contact, answering telephone, directing calls to appropriate person and taking messages. Good communication skills are necessary. Position will process payroll, inventory, purchase orders, and accounts payable through SAP; personnel and other office duties such as typing correspondence, filing and handling of incoming and outgoing mail. Must have knowledge and use of office equipment and related computer technology (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SAP).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies
Management prefers applicants with the following:
+ Customer service experience, including resolving customer issues
+ Experience with Microsoft Office using programs such as Access, Word, and Excel
+ Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports
+ Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws
+ Experience in recordkeeping
Additional Expectations:
The selected Applicant will be expected to safely and legally operate a motor vehicle. Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated. Position requires work during adverse weather such as snow and/or ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. which can lead to working extended daily hours, weekends and holidays. ***Applicants with SAP R/3 experience will be given preference.*** May require work during non-traditional work hours, including nights, weekends, holidays and times of emergency.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
