    AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to fill the role ofPer DiemPatient Services Managerat the prestigiousHospital of the University of Pennsylvania, located in University City, Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate for this position is patient-focused, attentive to results, and engaged with staff and peers as a leader.

    The Patient Services Manager will be leading a team of devoted culinary and patient service professionals to achieve excellence in experience, nutritive meals, and world-class service by:

    + Planning, organizing and leading the work of team members engaged in the creation and delivery of meals to patients and guests

    + Promoting and ensuring the highest levels of quality and service to patients, visitors and teams within the facility

    + Reviewing and evaluating existing operational methods and procedures of food and nutrition services program for effectiveness and efficiency, initiating and sustaining changes as necessary to ensure compliance with standards and expectations

    + Ensuring proper food and physical safety and sanitation

    + Developing and implementing cost effective systems throughout the department

    + Maintaining and fostering positive and professional working relationships with team members, patients, and medical professionals

    + Overseeing the food safety and nutritional care aspects of the department to ensure full compliance with Federal, State and other regulatory agencies and organizations

    + Participation in the development of and adherence to policies and procedures that direct clinical services, food preparation, distribution and service, purchasing, sanitation, safety practices, performance improvement and team member education and development

    + Performing other duties and responsibilities as necessary

    + Requirements:

    + Strong interpersonal skills; can effectively communicate and relate to all levels within and outside the organization; creates and builds positive and productive relationships.

    + Attention to detail, demonstrates time and energy to make sure tasks are properly handled and completed with accuracy and efficiency.

    + Minimum of 3 years management experience in an acute care hospital food service setting

    + RD strongly preferred

    + CDM preferred

    + Previous experience with computerized diet office systems (CBORD) is a plus

    + Ability to comprehend and guide others in understanding guest service principles as they relate to food production and the flow of the foodservice operation in a fast-paced healthcare setting

    + Possess the ability to supervise and train team members, including recruiting, hiring, evaluating, directing, organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
