    Position Purpose:

    The Vice President (VP) of Enterprise AI Strategy is a visionary leader responsible for shaping and driving the company's enterprise-wide artificial intelligence vision. This executive role ensures AI becomes a core enabler of business strategy, operational excellence, and future growth. The VP leads the development of AI strategy, governance, and capability-building across the organization, embedding AI into critical business areas including supply chain optimization, warehouse automation, demand forecasting, customer personalization, and the associate experience. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will serve as the company's senior AI thought leader representing the organization externally building strategic partnerships with technology providers, industry groups, and regulators.

    Position Responsibilities:

    + Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise AI strategy aligned with overall corporate goals.

    + Transition AI initiatives from isolated pilots to scalable, enterprise-wide capabilities.

    + Lead AI governance, ensuring ethical use, compliance, and trustworthiness in AI applications.

    + Develop, monitor and enforce policies for responsible, ethical, and compliant use of AI.

    + Drive AI-enabled business model innovation, reshaping food distribution, customer engagement, and workforce enablement.

    + Champion data as a strategic asset by integrating AI and advanced analytics into decision-making processes.

    + Build and lead an enterprise AI governance framework, including policies for responsible AI deployment.

    + Lead cultural transformation initiatives, including associate reskilling and organizational readiness for AI adoption.

    + Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with AI technology vendors, universities, and industry consortia.

    + Identify AI-driven opportunities for revenue growth, operational efficiency, and vendor partnership and customer engagement.

    + Advise the C-suite, board, and external stakeholders on AI-related opportunities, risks, and investments.

    + Partner with C-suite to embed AI into business models and digital transformation initiatives.

    + Measure, communicate, and optimize enterprise ROI from AI initiatives.

    + Represent the company as an AI thought leader in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and partnership engagements.

    + Elevate AI as a central element in enterprise transformation and competitive differentiation.

    + Promote responsible AI leadership, ensuring ethical, compliant, and trusted AI applications.

    + Lead external influence and representation in AI-related industry and regulatory ecosystems.

    + Drive innovation through ecosystem partnerships to accelerate AI adoption and capabilities.

    Required Qualifications:

    Required Education: Bachelor's Degree - Computer Science, Data Science, and Engineering or related field

     

    Work Experience: 10+ Years - proven executive leadership experience developing and implementing enterprise AI or advanced analytics strategies.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Strong track record in transformation and change leadership at scale, including workforce impact management.

    • Deep expertise in AI governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.

    • Executive presence with ability to influence C-suite, board members, regulators, and external partners.

    • Experience building strategic alliances with AI vendors, academia, and industry groups.

    • Financial acumen in evaluating AI investments, managing budgets, and demonstrating business value.

    • Exceptional communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams through complex change.

    • Strong understanding of AI governance, ethics, compliance, and emerging regulatory landscapes.
