    EJ has an immediate opening for CNC Maintenance Technician

     

    Current available shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm (1st shift)

     

    Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour

    SUMMARY

    Join our Maintenance team where talented craftsmen optimize their troubleshooting skills repairing equipment used to grind and machine. Equipment includes Doosan Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) CNC equipment and five axis automated grinding equipment.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    + Promotes safety awareness, accident prevention, and employee involvement regarding a safe work environment.

    + Promotes the company culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company.

    + Investigates machine downtime and determines actions needed to prevent future occurrences.

    + Works with OEMs and vendors for continuous improvement.

    + Works in tandem with equipment OEMs and vendors for troubleshooting and repairs; on site or through email, phone, messaging, etc.

    + Creates work instructions for routine/running maintenance.

    + Works with maintenance team and operations in problem solving events.

    + Diagnoses equipment problems and implements corrective actions.

    + Introduces internal training for maintenance team.

    + Assists in managing equipment documentation and associated drawings.

    + Collect required data to evaluate and refine frequencies of predictive and preventive tasks.

    + Work closely with the reliability team to perform reliability studies on critical equipment.

    + Performs reliability and preventive maintenance activities on equipment.

    PREFERRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

    + Able to read schematics.

    + Basic understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems.

    + Experience with Fanuc or other CNC controls.

    + Ability to work through machine interfaces to manipulate and troubleshoot.

    + Knowledge and understanding of CNC programming.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and strategic problem-solving.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

     

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Able to demonstrate knowledge and skills in repair of automated CNC equipment and computer system use. Testing or assessments of skills may be required.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    Fork Truck Driver's License, Industrial vehicle/equipment license, where applicable. EJ will provide training for required licensing and certifications.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee can be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee can be exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Required PPE is provided. Traversing different elevations of the plant through the use steps, ladders, climbing on equipment, use of elevated work platforms to work at heights and in confined spaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually above 80 decibels during production. Hearing Protection provided.
