We’re hiring a Catering Sales Director based in Washington, DC.!
The Catering Sales Director will drive growth, loyalty, and guest satisfaction across our catering program. This role balances strategic planning with hands-on execution, driving sales growth. This position reports to the VP of Shop Operations.

Your core responsibilities will be:
Sales Strategy & Planning
+ Develop and implement the Catering Sales Plan aligned with company goals, including catering sales strategy in new markets
+ Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly planning, including key milestones and initiatives.
+ Project and track catering revenue targets annually, monthly, and for key holidays.
+ Partner with Marketing team to develop exciting and on-brand marketing initiatives that drive catering sales
+ Partner with Culinary and Training teams to suggest catering menu enhancements or changes based on customer feedback and market demand
Sales Outreach, Relationship Building, and System Management
+ Conduct personalized outreach to new and returning catering guests.
+ Follow up on large orders to ensure satisfaction and build loyalty.
+ Identify regular or high-potential guests and convert them into recurring accounts.
+ Execute seasonal outreach campaigns (e.g., past holiday guests, cold outreach for new leads).
+ Partner with shops to identify and reach out to local organizations, businesses, and schools for targeted outreach.
+ Manage key recurring catering accounts across all locations, ensuring timely check-ins and continuity.
+ Monitor sales progress against plan and adjust tactics accordingly.
Guest Communication, Shop Support, and Order Management
+ Quote, coordinate, and follow up on large or specialized orders.
+ Ensure the seamless execution of recurring and high level catering orders by coordinating with shops and updating orders to meet guest needs.
+ Share daily catering sales recap with internal stakeholders.
+ Provide in-shop support for large/specialized catering orders, seasonal volume surges, or training needs.
+ Develop and execute an outgoing sales platform utilizing and cultivating a robust customer relations database.
You’ll be a great addition to the CYM team if you:
+ Have 5+ years of experience in a catering sales role, required
+ Have a track record of consistently reaching or exceeding sales goals
+ Possess strong cold calling and sales presentation skills, and ability to turn leads into sales
+ Have experience with CRM software, online ordering systems, and loyalty programs, required
+ Have a professional presence, ability to adapt message and approach to the audience, and ability to relate to a wide variety of people and tailor communication accordingly
+ Are hospitality-oriented and hold a passion for the guest experience
+ Possess high attention to detail; strong organizational skills; exemplary written and verbal communication skills
+ Work effectively with high degree of autonomy
+ Excellent time management skills
+ Are highly motivated to success with passion and a sense of urgency
+ Have flexibility in work environment: office, work from home, and field-based client meetings
