    The senior risk manager role provides support and considered opinion to CRO team, act as Risk Steward to the business, lead work streams to comply with upcoming US / Global Regulatory proposals and lead discussions with-in the risk management committees and local governance forums on risks managed and facing the business

    As our Senior Risk Manager, VP Investment Risk you will:

    + Ensure that the AMUS market, liquidity and investment risk metrics and analyses are fit for purpose and meet business and regulatory requirements

    + To manage and assess the impact of Regulatory Changes on the Risk Function. This includes representing the AMUS Risk team at relevant project working groups in relation to regulatory/governance changes

    + Developing and implementing best practice methodologies and processes for evaluating wide variety of fixed income and equity portfolio risks and liquidity

    + Analyze risk models used by the business and support the risk analysis of various investment strategies in use

    + Interact with front office to review portfolio risk, exposures, raise risk awareness through regular challenges and respond to requests for information

    + Have the ability to liaise and influence senior stakeholders on actions that need to be made within the functionFor this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $165,000.00 and $207,000.00The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.At HSBC, our overall goal is to provide a competitive Total Reward Package, with an appropriate mix of fixed pay, and variable pay, as part of an employee’s overall total compensation and benefits.     Qualifications

    You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

    + Experience in Asset Management and with Investment Risk oversight of equity and fixed income portfolios, functioning of asset management

    + Degree in mathematics, business, statistics or economics and/or CFA, FRM, PRM certification is preferred

    + Good knowledge of the management of portfolios risks, liquidity and of the evolving regulatory environment (US & Europe), ESG portfolio management considerations

    + Strong knowledge of Excel modeling as well as experience with risk management Models

    + Exposure and/or proficiency to other analytical tools such as R, Python, SQL, VBA, Tableau, Google Cloud etc., desirable

    + Good influencing and decision-making skills based on quantitative and qualitative analysis

    + Effective communicator (oral and written) especially of technical issues to non-specialists
