    Join our team as a **Lead Senior Land Development Engineer** and be at the forefront of land development innovation in the **Mid-Atlantic** power market.

     

    Step into a leadership role where your expertise in land development fuels the transformation of the Mid-Atlantic power market. You’ll manage high-impact projects that support energy transformation and civil infrastructure and serve as a primary liaison for client engagement. Collaborating with experts across disciplines, you’ll help design and deliver solutions that meet the region’s evolving power needs. This role offers the opportunity to influence both local landscapes and regional energy resilience.

    What You'll Do:

    Project and Team Leadership:

    + Provide direction and leadership to project teams, ensuring effective communication, resource allocation, supervision, and adherence to project timelines and budgets

    + Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment

    + Identify and nurture high-potential talent within the team; mentor and develop the next generation of Engineering leadership at Verdantas

    + Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure successful project delivery

    + Commitment to people and professional development of our teams

    Technical Leadership:

    + Serve as Lead Senior Engineer and primary point of contact managing strategy, technical and design work, regulatory engagement, and business development

    + Engage as Senior in Charge on land or site plan development, design, and permitting, stormwater management design and permitting, erosion & sediment control design (as appropriate based on licensure), primarily for Verdantas’ Area-level clients in our Real Estate, Government, Energy, and Industrial Markets

    + Direct meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors

    + Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices

    + Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements and implement best practices

    + Lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project delivery

    + Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team

    Client Engagement:

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related needs and committing to client satisfaction

    + Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions

    + Present project updates and technical information to clients in a clear and concise manner

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    + Coordinate with various stakeholders, including federal and state agencies, communities, and environmental organizations, to facilitate project approvals and implementation

    + Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure project objectives are met

    Quality Assurance:

    + Ensure the quality and technical content of all work products, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements

    Power Market Growth:

    + Lead initiatives aimed at expanding our presence in the Power market

    + Develop and implement strategies to increase market share and drive business growth

    + Plan, execute, and oversee pursuits and projects aimed at market expansion in the power sector

    What You Bring:

    + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution; higher education preferred

    + 20 or more years of experience in civil engineering and land development

    + P.E. required (Delaware, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey preferred)

    + Professional project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2)

    + Offshore wind energy on-land transmission project experience, including experience with USEPA, Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and state agencies (including DNREC)

    + Strong leadership and team management skills

    Salary Range:

    The compensation range starts at $125,000 and is based on the position, experience, and licensure.
