    Responsibilities

    Position Summary:

    The EVS Associate will report to the EVS Supervisor, who in turn will report to the Director.

     

    The qualified candidate will learn various cleaning methods, proper application of germicides and disinfectants, isolation techniques, hard surface/carpet cleaning techniques, and waste management regulations.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    + Attention to Detail

    + Ability to work effectively with multiple departments, and multiple levels of service

    + Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

    + Ability to write simple correspondence

    + Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization

    + Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

    + Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions

    + High School Diploma or equivalent technical training

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    + Previous hospital or other institutional environmental service experience preferred
