    About the role

     

    This position serves as main contact for specific trade need to conduct maintenance activities. The incumbent is the primary contact for troubleshooting of equipment (Manufacturing/Packaging/Utilities). It will provide support for root cause analysis and C evaluation. It will use his Automation experience to lead complex troubleshooting scenarios. It is also responsible to lead, coordinate and participate in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical equipment repairs, equipment installation or removals and support of Reliability initiatives.

    Role Responsibilities

    + _Performs preventive and predictive maintenance of production equipment, utilities equipment and control systems, following the established guidelines for the CMMS system, equipment operational procedures, site and manufacturer recommend maintenance practices._

    + _Reports opportunities captured during preventive maintenance execution._

    + _Provides recommendations for preventive maintenance task improvements._

    + _Generates maintenance work orders to report and coordinate repairs for tasks out of the scope of the preventive maintenance._

    + _Monitors the PM schedule and ensures adherence. Equipment Corrective Maintenance_

    + _Follows work order business process to determine priority, scope and duration._

    + _Assess emergency and urgent work requests (diagnose, prioritize and identify technical requirements). It should also consider any mitigation for safety related work orders. Equipment Troubleshooting_

    + _Provides mechanical, electrical, electronics, fabrication, instrumentation or automated support for troubleshooting activities. Leads troubleshooting work in order to identify equipment malfunction and perform the required repair work. If necessary, coordinates support from the other areas, such as HVAC, Utilities, Instrumentation, Automation and/or Machine Shop for the troubleshooting._

    + _Provides support for root-cause analysis of equipment related failures. o Makes timely interventions to solve problems and document actions in the CMMS system._

    + _Works from verbal and written instructions including, but no limited to, equipment manuals, drawing, sketches and preventive/corrective maintenance task list._

    + _Generates maintenance work orders to report equipment malfunction or repairs needed for process equipment, control systems, electrical systems, facilities, instrumentation and utilities. Documentation (Hard Copy/Electronic)_

    + _Responsible for preparing, reviewing, auditing, recording and maintaining operational documentation such as, but not limited to, logbooks, monitoring parameter forms, safety inspection forms, corrective and preventive maintenance work orders (CMMS), calibration records, service reports or any other document required as per site procedures. o status._

    + _Performs Reviewed/Closed activities for Preventive/Corrective Maintenance Work Orders in CMMS. Training, SOPs and GMP o Instruct and trains new personnel in preventive maintenance task execution and standard operating procedures, as applicable._

    + _Stays current on the appropriate policies, procedures, methods and practices including safety guidelines and GMP._

    + _Shares technical knowledge with colleagues including manufacturing/packaging operators and technicians for better understanding of equipment maintainability and functionally. EHS_

    + _Follow safety procedures, recommended practices, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), safe work permits and comply with plant safety programs at all times._

    + _Conducts inspections and reports observations that impact the environment, health and/or safety of the colleagues._

    + _Learn, understand and practice safe working habits, safety rules and regulation._

    + _Generates Safe Work Permit, Hot Work Permit, LOTO and JSA as required for maintenance related activities._

    + _Active participation in Safety Programs._

    + _Ensure that work hazards are identified, and all work is executed as per site safety standards._

    + _Collaborate with requestors to develop and ensure an appropriate level of scope to allow for the efficient execution of work._

    + _Maintains an open and effective channel of communication with Direct Supervisor, Operational areas and Functional areas; this include, but not limited to, Process Engineers, Manufacturing/Packaging Team Leaders, Manufacturing/Packaging Technicians, Manufacturing/Packaging Operators, Instrumentation Technicians, Reliability Engineers, Automation Technicians/Engineers, Machine Shop and HVAC/Utilities Technician, among others._

    + _Notifies Planning and Scheduling of any discrepancies and/or opportunities identify during the maintenance work execution. This includes but not limited to parts discrepancies, work duration estimate, craftsmen requirements, permits, etc._

    + _Responsible to use the escalation process for the communications of conditions that required a leader to be informed and/or to make a business decision_

     

    _Why you?_

    Basic Qualifications:

    + _Associate/Technical degree in Industrial Mechanics, Electricity, Electronics or Instrumentation._

    + _2+ years of Automation experience._

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience on Automation Engineering (Maintenance and/or Projects) including but not limited to Networks, Instrumentation and related hardware. Knowledge in Network Topologies (Control Net, Device Net, CAN, Flex-Bus, among others).
