    Job Title: Pharmacy Technician Job Description

     

    Join our dynamic and rapidly growing specialty pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will work on assignments that are moderately complex, requiring judgment in resolving problems and making recommendations. You will work independently on routine tasks and receive guidance on new assignments.

    Responsibilities

    + Review the contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information has been received.

    + Create a patient profile from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information to ensure successful service.

    + Conduct an initial check of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.

    + Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns to collect accurate information before further processing.

    + Update concise progress notes to enable other roles within the workflow to quickly assess the status of the referral.

    + Enter new provider information, such as the National Provider Identifier, accurately into the system for Business Intelligence reporting.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Pharmacy Technician Certification

    + 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience

    + Experience in a pharmacy setting

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + Competent in basic computer skills

    + Conscientious and detail-oriented

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + NC Registered (NCBOP) preferred

    + Customer service skills

    + Data entry experience

    + High School Diploma required

    + Healthcare experience preferred

    + Ability to effectively work with people

    + Flexible and adaptable

    + Multi-task oriented

    Work Environment

    You will work in a call center environment, onsite from Monday to Friday. Operating hours are from 8am to 8pm EST, with no weekend shifts. The role includes no direct patient contact, and major holidays are observed. Initially, training is conducted from 9am to 6pm, with the potential to switch to a 10am to 7pm shift based on performance. If the position becomes permanent, the schedule may become hybrid.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, North Carolina.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
