    Job Title: Civil Engineer Job Description

     

    We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to lead and support the preparation of construction drawings for single-family residential developments. This role involves supervising a design team and ensuring high-quality deliverables using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee the development of construction drawings for single-family residential projects.

    + Lead the design team in creating plans for paving, grading, storm drainage, detention, water, and wastewater systems under the guidance of the Project Manager.

    + Generate and refine 3D surfaces using survey data and project specifications.

    + Develop surfaces from alignments and profiles to support design accuracy.

    + Maintain well-organized design files to ensure seamless collaboration across the project team.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of civil design experience in private single-family residential developments within the DFW area.

    + Experience in construction plan production using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    + Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or the ability to obtain licensure within one year.

    + Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to coordinate with internal design teams and municipal staff to facilitate project reviews and secure permits.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The position requires working in the office five days a week.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Richardson, Texas.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
