Job Title: Pharmacy Technician-PBR Job Description
As a Pharmacy Technician-PBR, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate prescription insurance information is entered into patient profiles by processing eligibility checks and adjudicating pharmacy claims. You will communicate with providers regarding medication prior authorizations and serve as a resource during the process. Additionally, you will handle inquiries from patients, clients, physicians, and clinics, and manage patient refill coordination to ensure compliance with therapy plans.
Responsibilities
+ Process eligibility checks and adjudicate pharmacy claims.
+ Troubleshoot claim rejections and communicate correct information to patients.
+ Communicate the need for medication prior authorization to providers.
+ Manage inbound calls regarding order status, services, and financial support.
+ Serve as a technical resource for adjudication and identify improvement areas.
+ Enter detailed and accurate progress notes for patient profiles.
+ Contact patients to schedule medication delivery and payment.
+ Ensure patient compliance with therapy plans through refill coordination.
+ Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy Technician Certification.
+ 2+ years of pharmacy operation experience.
+ NC Registered (NCBOP) preferred.
+ Data entry and customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience working in a pharmacy setting.
+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.
+ Competence in basic computer skills.
+ Ability to effectively work with people.
+ Conscientious, detail-oriented, flexible, and adaptable.
+ High School Diploma required.
+ Healthcare experience preferred.
Work Environment
This position is based in a call center environment and operates Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. The role requires onsite presence initially, with the potential for a hybrid schedule upon permanent conversion. The company is closed for major holidays and weekends, providing an engaging office environment with no direct patient contact.

This is a Contract position based out of Cary, North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
