Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description
Perform phlebotomy in a small hospital setting with a capacity of 22 beds, providing essential services to both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct blood draws and phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages, with a focus on geriatrics, mothers, and newborns.
+ Collect and accurately process patient information.
+ Provide excellent customer service to patients.
+ Ensure proper labeling and processing of blood samples.
+ Engage in phlebotomy duties for approximately 30% of the time.
+ Receive and process samples, aliquot, register samples, operate within a pneumatic tube system, manage phones, receive couriers, and support MLS and CLAs in the lab for approximately 70% of the time.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in phlebotomy and blood draws.
+ Experience with venipuncture and specimen processing.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ Ability to process patient information accurately.
+ Familiarity with Cerner, EHR, and electronic health records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Certified Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
+ Attention to detail.
+ Ability to multitask.
+ Patient care focused.
+ Eager to learn and maintain a positive attitude.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment
Work in a medical center with 22 beds, following shifts that may include either 4 10-hour shifts (7am - 5:30pm) or 3 12-hour shifts (6am - 6:30pm) per week, depending on business needs. Shifts may vary weekly, with a total of 36 to 40 hours per week. Overtime is not required, but availability during Thanksgiving or Christmas may be necessary.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.43 - $23.51/hr.
