Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Electrician

Responsibilities

+ Lead advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.

+ Install and commission electrical systems and instrumentation for new equipment and upgrades.

+ Interpret complex electrical and P&ID schematics for system modifications and enhancements.

+ Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans for critical systems.

+ Mentor and support junior technicians in troubleshooting and best practices.

+ Collaborate with Engineering and Process Control teams to improve process automation and reliability.

+ Work directly with vendors and contractors on equipment calibration, technical issues, and project execution.

+ Ensure strict compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.

Essential Skills

+ Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Systems.

+ 5+ years of hands-on experience in an E&I role within a heavy industrial or chemical manufacturing environment.

+ Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar systems).

+ Strong understanding of industrial electrical codes (NEC, NFPA 70E) and instrumentation standards (ISA).

+ Experience with calibration tools, loop checks, and test equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

+ Ability to lead small project teams and manage contractor work.

+ Skilled in root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance strategies.

+ Comfortable working in high-risk environments requiring PPE and strict safety protocols.

Work Environment

The position is based in a lab/pilot area with access to office facilities. The role involves working in high-risk environments that require the use of PPE and adherence to strict safety protocols. The company is expanding rapidly with plans to grow fivefold in the future.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
