Job Title: Controls Engineer Job Description
Join a leading manufacturer of motor vehicle parts and accessories, specializing in aluminum alloy wheels. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to enhance our operations in Columbus, IN. The successful candidate will optimize manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and drive innovation in aluminum wheel production.
Responsibilities
+ Design, program, and oversee the installation of machines and/or processes.
+ Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
+ Build, program, or purchase necessary components to meet project goals.
+ Plan project details and collaborate with other departments to ensure success.
+ Provide support for control systems plant-wide, especially for new equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Associates Degree in engineering.
+ 3+ years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
+ Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
+ Experience with CAD design, including plant layout and custom machine design.
+ Familiarity with Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Cognex and Keyence Vision Systems is a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is a foundry setting, which can be warm. The paint process area is clean. The position operates on a first shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with minimal overtime.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
