Job Description:

We are urgently seeking a talented and dynamic Director of Project Engineering who can lead and manage engineering projects with a focus on innovation and growth. This role is ideal for a seasoned project manager who aspires to advance into a director-level position. We are seeking candidates that have manufacturing or construction backgrounds. This company specializes in high-performance automation and machining systems for producing micro-precision components in industries like medical device, automotive, and electronics. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and growing a highly diversified engineering department.

Responsibilities:

+ Lead and manage a team comprising of project managers and administrative staff, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery

+ Oversee the preparation of RFPs, proposals, and submittals, ensuring compliance with organizational standards

+ Collaborate closely with the general manager and receive support from the leadership team to organically grow the department

+ Create and maintain strong client relationships and influence the sales team and market direction

+ Manage project budgets, oversee customer interactions, and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals

Essential Skills:

+ Proven experience in people management and leadership within engineering or project management roles

+ Solid understanding in engineering management, preferably in mechanical engineering

+ Proficiency in Solidworks and other relevant engineering tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ Experience in manufacturing or construction industries is highly desirable

+ A bachelor's degree in a science-related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with significant field experience

+ Strong ability to manage teams, advocate for necessary changes, and push back when needed

+ A positive attitude and historical capability of managing diverse project scopes in the automation space

Work Environment: This company is based in Southern Denver. This role requires up to 20% travel. This role is NOT an engineering role, this is a PM/Director role.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
