Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves drawing, processing, and packaging blood samples primarily in an outpatient setting. The position is a stationary position, this opportunity will provide a great chance to gain hands-on experience in phlebotomy.
Responsibilities
+ Draw patient blood samples, process them accurately, and package them properly, approximately 25-30 times per day.
+ Communicate effectively with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.
+ Coordinate the pick-up and shipping of samples to the medical testing site in Novi/Farmington.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in blood draw, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.
+ Experience in specimen collection and processing.
+ Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer order of draw tube colors for multiple tube collections.
+ At least 6 months of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.
+ Experience with 200 plus solo draws.
+ High School Diploma.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and adherence to this schedule is essential. The team typically wears navy blue scrubs. The work environment includes about 15 people onsite in Novi, with offsite locations having 0-2 other employees. Benefits include raises at 6 months.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Novi, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
