    Job Title: Civil Estimator/Electrical Estimator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Estimator to analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop detailed electrical estimates. This role requires collaboration with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information, preparing quantity takeoffs, and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and equipment. The Estimator will evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and completeness and participate in bid reviews and value engineering efforts, while maintaining historical cost data and updating estimating tools.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop detailed electrical estimates.

    + Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and scope information.

    + Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and equipment.

    + Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and completeness.

    + Participate in bid reviews and value engineering efforts.

    + Maintain historical cost data and update estimating tools.

    Essential Skills

    + 3-5 years of experience as an estimator.

    + Specific experience in electrical estimating, especially with DOT and heavy civil projects.

    + Experience in putting together bid plans and packages.

    + Proficiency in commercial construction and electrical project management.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably on DOT or heavy civil projects.

    + Proficiency in estimating software such as Accubid and HeavyBid.

    + Strong knowledge of NEC, DOT standards, and construction practices.

    + Excellent analytical and communication skills.

    Work Environment

    The position requires working on-site from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment offers a competitive benefits package, reflecting stable growth and development over the past 30 years. Employees can expect hands-on training and development from senior estimators.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
