    Skilled and motivated Instrumentation and Controls Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of industrial instrumentation and control systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical principles, along with experience in calibrating and configuring various types of field devices. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and safety of our industrial processes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    * Install, calibrate, and configure various industrial instruments including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and analytical transmitters, control valves, positioners, and other related devices.

    * Perform routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

    * Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical components of all industrial systems.

    * Utilize various test equipment such as multimeters, loop calibrators, pressure calibrators, and various types of communicators to perform diagnostics and calibrations.

    * Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, loop diagrams, and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).

    * Document all maintenance, calibration, and repair activities accurately and in a timely manner.

    * Assist in the development and implementation of new instrumentation and control systems.

    * Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures.

    * Collaborate effectively with engineers, operators, and other maintenance personnel to resolve issues and improve system performance.

    * Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    * Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

    * Participating in team building activities and events

    * Performs other duties as required

    Here’s what you’ll need:

    * High school diploma or GED

    * Valid driver's license.

    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    * Working knowledge of the maintenance, repair and calibration of instrumentation, low voltage communications, electronics and electrical control systems.

    * 1-3 years (or more) of direct hands-on experience working with industrial instrumentation and control systems in an industrial environment (e.g., manufacturing, chemical processing, power generation).

    * A basic grasp of measurement techniques, control loop theory, and different types of industrial instruments (pressure, temperature, level, flow, analytical).

    * A fundamental understanding of electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, and electronics is crucial as most instruments rely on electrical signals.

    * The ability to calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of process instruments using appropriate test equipment (multimeters, loop calibrators, pressure calibrators).

    * Competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.

    * Familiarity with using hand tools and specialized test and calibration equipment.

    * Knowledge of and adherence to safety regulations and procedures, including lockout/tagout.

    * Basic computer literacy for documentation, accessing information, and potentially working with control system software.

    * Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

    * The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.

    * Attention to detail. Accuracy is critical when working with precise instruments.

    * Clear communication with colleagues, engineers, and operators is important.

    Working Conditions:

    The work environment encompasses both indoor and outdoor settings, potentially exposing the incumbent to varying weather conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required for outdoor work. Certain work areas may involve exposure to elevated noise levels, active machinery, high-pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, pathogens, and various chemicals. Strict adherence to safety protocols and the mandatory use of specified PPE is required in these areas to mitigate potential hazards.

    Physical Requirements:

    This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical activities throughout an 8-hour workday, including but not limited to: sitting, standing, stooping, twisting and bending at the waist, turning, kneeling, squatting, reaching above shoulder height, grasping, performing repetitive hand movements, and demonstrating fine motor coordination for equipment manipulation. Visual acuity sufficient to read blueprints and other technical documentation, as well as hearing within the normal range (with or without correction), is necessary. The incumbent must be able to move independently across the facility, ascend and descend stairs, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level. The ability to climb and work from ladders or scaffolding, utilize arms and back for tightening and loosening fasteners, carry a 50-pound toolbox up a flight of stairs, work in confined spaces, and consistently wear and utilize all required safety equipment is also essential.
