About the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT):
The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, and reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.
Role Overview:
In support of Executive Order 25-19 to improve Indiana's information security, the Office of Technology is tasked with developing a Risk and Authorization Management Program (RAMP) policy and protocol for all cloud computing services utilized by the State. This is combined with Senate Enrolled Act 150 directing specific data collection and monitoring of AI-enabled information technology and Senate Bills 459 and 472 directing IOT to collect and process annual public water system vulnerability assessments.
The Deputy Director for Governance, Risk, and Compliance will develop standards, guidelines, and a uniform set of policies for political subdivisions, state agencies, state educational institutions, and the IOT Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Resiliency team. You will also oversee related initiatives.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $93,002 but may be commensurate with education and job experience.

A Day in the Life:
The essential functions of this role are as follows:
+ Assist the IT Director in developing current and long-range direction of technology in accordance with the direction of the agency.
+ Assist the IT Director in setting policies and procedures, technical standards and methods and priorities for information systems activities.
+ Develope key governance risk and compliance reports and metrics in the form of KPIs and OKRs mapped to the requirements of SEA150, SB459, SB472 and EO 25-19.
+ Interface with IOT local government team to include and share data obtained via the HEA1169 legislation with the IOT Security Team.
+ Provide business requirements from the above legislation and executive order to the various tools teams that administer and maintain the GRC, ITSM and CRM technology stack.
+ Manage the execution of the RAMP program for IOT.
+ Facilitate AI reviews in conjunction with originating agency, MPH and IOT operational teams.
+ Administer software and application review process for all on premise software and third-party integrations in the cloud and on enterprise tools such as browsers.
+ Interface with IOT vendor management and procurement teams along with IDOA to ensure quarterly and annual reviews are conducted on time and deviations from policies are documented with a defined remediation plan.
+ Manage the execution of activities within the internal audit and risk management program.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours that may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
What You'll Need for Success:
Credentials:
+ a Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or
+ an Associate's Degree and 3+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or
+ at least 5+ years of relevant experience in Information Technology or a related field, applying the below, outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role.
Related certifications and coursework may be considered for education or experience.
Additional qualifications:
+ Extensive knowledge of information technology, information security, information management, project management, and/or business management.
+ Ability to bridge technology and business goals to provide productive solutions.
+ Broad knowledge of all information technology disciplines and general business theory.
+ Considerable knowledge of the organization and management of state government.
+ Ability to negotiate complex and large sum agreements with other agencies, divisions and outside vendors.
+ Effective communication skills.
+ Ability to frame issues based on the policy implications associated with managing what is otherwise a very technical discipline.
+ Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow.
+ Ability to effectively give feedback, provide guidance or corrective action, coach, and develop employee skillsets.
+ Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
