Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, Business Systems Analysts to lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of Business Systems Analysts (BSAs). This leader will oversee the team’s work in analyzing, documenting, and improving complex business processes and systems that support core operational objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive and collaborative leader with a strong history of building high-impact teams, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering scalable business solutions. As a manager, you will partner with senior leadership across business, engineering, quality, and project management teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality system requirements and solutions. This role requires a leader who is not only technically proficient, but also a mentor, coach, and change agent—someone who can grow talent, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and align the team's efforts with broader organizational goals.
What You'll Do
+ **Team Leadership & Development**
+ Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Business Systems Analysts, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
+ Define team goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives; track performance and provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.
+ Identify skill gaps and create growth plans to support professional development and succession planning.
+ Promote knowledge sharing, cross-training, and role coverage to build a resilient and agile team.
+ **Strategic Planning & Execution**
+ Oversee resource planning, project prioritization, and workload management to ensure timely delivery of initiatives.
+ Establish and maintain standards for business analysis best practices, tools, and documentation across the team.
+ Collaborate with business stakeholders to define clear, actionable requirements that align with company priorities.
+ Participate in strategic planning and roadmap development for business systems and technology initiatives.
+ **Stakeholder Collaboration**
+ Serve as a trusted partner to business owners, engineering, QA, and PMO teams to align efforts and drive shared outcomes.
+ Ensure BSAs maintain strong working relationships and effective communication with internal and external partners.
+ Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, helping translate business needs into scalable system solutions.
+ **Operational Excellence & Governance**
+ Champion continuous improvement in processes, documentation quality, and customer satisfaction.
+ Ensure documentation of all business requirements, workflows, and system functionality is accurate, consistent, and current.
+ Guide team in compliance with internal policies, processes, and best practices.
+ Influence policy and procedural changes to improve team operations and efficiency.
+ **Team Enablement & Accountability**
+ Provide ongoing support and training to empower BSAs as subject matter experts in their domains.
+ Set clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable to deadlines, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
+ Recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments while proactively addressing performance issues.
+ Lead the recruiting and onboarding of new team members.
What You'll Need
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Math, or equivalent experience of 5+ years in a software development environment working in a leadership capacity managing 4+ employees.
+ 7+ years’ experience demonstrating a progression of roles with responsibilities including software development and project management.
+ 3+ years’ experience leading and growing a team of at least three Business Systems Analysts is strongly preferred.
+ Experience in eliciting, documenting, and validating business requirements.
+ Experience managing a team using most of the following: structured business analysis, competency modeling, project planning, performance metrics, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and resource planning.
+ Experience managing a team responsible for analyzing and designing multi-tier business applications.
+ Experience leading multidisciplinary teams (Business, Development, QA, etc.).
+ Experience managing teams responsible for analyzing complex enterprise-class application environments (e.g., ERP, SaaS, Finance & Accounting, or other back-office applications) utilizing Java, J2EE, Web Services, etc.
+ Experience with PeopleSoft Financial systems.
+ Hands-on experience with Salesforce systems is required, including working knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
+ Salesforce Administrator certification and cloud platform certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are preferred.
+ Demonstrated track record of productivity, initiative, and effective priority management.
+ Experience managing the complete project lifecycle.
+ Experience managing full development cycles for software applications using tools such as MS Project, Visio, JIRA; Subversion experience is preferred in some cases.
+ Proficiency in SQL and SOQL, with the ability to write and interpret queries across both relational and Salesforce databases.
+ Knowledge of DB2, Oracle, or equivalent relational database systems.
The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
$113,000.00 - $172,000.00
