Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will handle manual invoice processing, resolve payment discrepancies, and communicate with vendors to ensure seamless financial operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and is eager to contribute their expertise to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices manually, including matching, batching, and coding to ensure accuracy.

• Reconcile vendor accounts regularly and resolve any discrepancies or issues.

• Perform payment runs while adhering to company policies and procedures.

• Communicate effectively with vendors to address payment inquiries and maintain strong relationships.

• Collaborate with internal teams to manage purchase orders and ensure proper documentation.

• Utilize 3-way matching to verify invoice accuracy and compliance.

• Conduct timely and accurate data entry of financial records.

• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Monitor and address outstanding invoices to avoid delays or errors in payment processing. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a manual processing environment.

• Proficiency in coding invoices, check runs, and invoice processing.

• Strong knowledge of 3-way matching and purchase order reconciliation.

• Demonstrated expertise in data entry with high attention to detail.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other accounting software tools.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with vendors and team members.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Proven track record of maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
